Midsomer Halt is an end to end O gauge layout set in the era of steam with fiddle yard to hidden fiddle yard architecture. Dictated by members stock availability, no particular region has been chosen but in practice GWR and BR Tank traction prevails. Digital Command Control (DCC) controls locomotives as well as points and the working signals, both post and ground. Track is largely Peco but does feature a hand built (using 3D printed sleepers) double crossing. At one end is a working twin screw filler to load up trucks with gravel that adds interest to layout operation.
